This is the ultimate intake upgrade for the Alfa Giulia and Stelvio 2.0T. It flows significantly more than stock, reduces pressure drop, and improves airflow to the inducer of the compressor wheel.
We designed the intake with hybrid turbochargers in mind and a system that would be able to move along with you. The intake system was tested with our prototype hybrid turbo and data logged using our proprietary high speed data acquisition system. The reduction in restriction results in a double digit change in required wastegate duty cycle to obtain target boost levels! CAD designed, 3D Printed, dyno tested, redesigned, tested, redesigned, and on and on until it was perfect. Each component was carefully designed and manufactured to give you the highest quality (and value) system.
Our intake tube is made from pre-impregnated carbon fiber twill using high performance epoxy resins. The carbon fiber composite has an exceptional stiffness to weight ratio. The carbon intake system also looks mint. Carbon fiber also exhibits a low thermal conductivity property - making it excellent to maintain the increased air density.
The silicon coupler which mates the carbon intake tube to the turbo inlet is pretty sweet. The inner contour does not match the outer contour. We were able to have a velocity stack molded into the coupler to provide the turbocharger with the best possible inlet pressure condition possible (PR= P2c / P1c) We've done extensive flow bench, CFD, dyno testing, and verification of velocity stack design through out our careers - we took this knowledge and experience and applied it to this system. It's also pink in the middle - it's Fluorosilicon lined - which means it's impervious to oil vapors and fuels - something your intake system will see post PCV. The notch in the coupler matches the anti-rotation geometry found on the factory turbo inlet - you're gonna want to rotate that to the right spot before tightening that hose clamp.
Our system seamlessly integrates with the existing factory air ducting, ensuring a fresh supply of high-pressure air. By replacing the factory airbox and tube restrictions with our large air filter and massive carbon inlet tube, we have created an Ideal pathway for enhanced airflow.
Includes a TIG welded & CNC machined stainless steel bracket that securely mounts to the front of the engine. We don't recommend putting your weight on the intake system to brace your body as you change cylinder 4 spark plugs, but if you forget - this brace will support some amount of misuse in this arena. The certified badass venturi block and CNC machined billet PCV port are completely serviceable, ensuring long-term functionality and ease of maintenance. We use high quality Viton o-rings and stainless steel hardware, because this is Ideal, not "meh-it works."
